Tudor Venture Group Closes $262 Investment Fund

BOSTON, MA -- The Tudor Venture Group announced that it has closed a $262 million venture investment fund.  The groups has raised a total of $700 million since its creation in 1996.

Tudor says it intends to focus on later stage investments in the range of $7 million to $20 million.  Industry focus will likely be software, financial technology, media, communications and infrastructure.

The group is part of Tudor Group, a $17 billion investment group based on the east coast with offices in the U.K.  The group was founded in 1980 by Paul Tudor Jones II.
